Dr. Mark Kaplan, DO Medical Director
Dr. Kaplan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University, a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Kansas City College of Health Sciences, did an internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington, Michigan and a pulmonary fellowship at Queens Medical Center in New York. He has specialized in critical care and emergency medicine since 1988.
Dr. Kaplan specializes in urgent and primary health care. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board in internal medicine, and board eligible in emergency and pulmonary medicine. In addition to working at East Grand Health Center in Danforth his services are shared with St. Croix Regional Family Health Center in Princeton. Dr. Kaplan has served as the Medical Director of East Grand Health Center for the past several years and is a valued member of the community.
Matt Cowan, PA-C
Matt is a Physician's Assistant and has been practicing family and internal medicine for over 20 years. He is a longtime resident of the area, currently residing in Houlton with his wife and daughter. Matt is currently in the office the first two Friday's of each month and currently accepting new patients.
Mary Lake, FNP
Born and raised in Hodgdon, Mary is happy to be returning home after a satisfying career in southern Maine. Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to East Grand, having worked at Mid Coast Hospital for the last two decades in various capacities. Mary and her husband recently relocated to their new home on East Grand Lake. In her spare time, Mary enjoys hiking, quilting and biking. She is looking forward to being part of the local community and is currently accepting new patients.
Rebekah Ouellette, LCSW
The addition of Rebekah Ouellette is an important part of EGHC's mission to expand more services such as mental health to its community. Rebekah comes to EGHC in cooperation with Aroostook Mental Health Center. She specializes in Anxiety/ Depression, Relaxation/ Stress Management, Coping with Chronic Disease/ Pain Management, Coping with Grief and Loss, Substance Abuse, Domestic/Physical Abuse, Tobacco and Smoking Cessation, Bullying, Parenting and Situational Life Issues. Lyndsay McIver, FNP
Lyndsay is a Family Nurse Practitioner that specializes in family medicine and treats patients of all ages. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Husson University in 2010 then her Master's in Nursing from Husson University in 2020. Lyndsay is a resident of Lambert Lake with her husband and two children. She is currently our only Full-Time provider and is accepting new patients.
Dr. Jared Kohlbacher, DPM
Dr. Jared Kohlbacher sees patients for podiatry services and has been a member of the East Grand Health Center team since August 2017. Dr. Kohlbacher is a podiatry specialist originally from Oklahoma. He graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2011 and completed his residency in 2014 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Kohlbacher currently provides surgical podiatry at The Aroostook Medical Center. He and his wife, Raina, and their three daughters reside in Mapleton.
Dr. Kohlbacher is at the East Grand Health Center on a monthly basis.
Dayna Lincoln, PNP
Dayna Lincoln sees pediatric patients for primary care services and has been a member of the East Grand Health Center team since March 2024. Dayna specializes in pediatric patients from birth to 21 years of age. She graduated from Liberty University in 2012 with her Bachelor's and completed her Master's Degree in 2021 at Maryville University in Missouri. She and her husband, Emery, and their two children reside in Hodgdon.
